Because it's what the baddies are saying. The baddies wouldn't say that slavery is freedom, you know because of the whole black slaves thing. Example: They say freedom of speech is bad or imposes slavery of the blacks and Hispanics (it should be policed). They don't say the imposition of slavery is freedom of speech. Kind of a semantics thing.
