I work on a factory assembly line that produces little pieces of tape.

Last semester English major here. Work at Whole Foods and intern at the Philly Art Museum in the editing department. I really don't think it's as dead-end of a major as people make it out to be. Write well, be patient, be willing to settle in the early rounds--businesses actually do need your skill set.
