Novel: War and Peace
Play: It's really a problem to choose among the supreme works of Shakespeare, but I will go with my favorite, Macbeth.
Poem: I dont think there are better poems than the great poetic excerpts from the plays of Shakespeare: he was the greatest poet of all times. But if we are going to choose a single poem, then the Divine Comedy might be the best (I prefer Homer, but Dante's poem is more complex and inventive).
