I contacted The Anarchist Library, by e-mail, more than 3 weeks ago and got no response. I suppose they are ignoring me on intention.
Why?
There's other way I can use to contact them? Should I?

i've mostly looked at their EZLN stuff (the mexican revolutionary group), but there's a ton here

and in honor of my dubs, one more thing. David Graeber's Fragments of an Anarchist Anthropology. as far as academic circles go, he's sort of lukewarm with a lot of people in academia. he's definitely mildly autistic. but he's one of the most original and intelligent theorists in probably any academic discipline today.

There's seriously underground and transgressive publications on this website; I'm surprised it's even legal in Western states. You can find virtually any subcategory of anarchist thought here: Islamic fundamentalism, secession techniques, anarcha-feminism, syndicalism, post-capitalist technology, hyper-capitalism, propaganda techniques, post-neurobiology, authoritarian egalitarianism, social construction, pedophilia, violent social deconstruction (terrorism), post-legal societies

Be forewarned, it's extremely NSFW/NSFL

i really like them too, if only for being an interesting group vis a vis historical positioning.

for one thing there's the invoking of emiliano zapata. beyond that though, they sort of fit into a broader (though very underpublicized) flow of radicals from mexico city to the central american wars of the 1980s.

for a couple reasons -- mexico, despite being right next to the USA, kept a completely independent foreign policy throughout the cold war years. not only decrying US-backed dictators in places like Chile, but accepting tons of Southern Cone refugees (including Bolaño, to make this post more /lit/ worthy), supporting the Sandinistas in the Nicaragua, and keeping the western hemisphere's largest USSR embassy until the fall of the wall. so lots of revolutionary sentiment was transiting between Mexico City and Central America -- Chiapas is obviously right in the middle of those, and these very post-modern intellectuals/radicals often inadvertantely linked in with a great deal of indigenous organizing that the Archbishop of San Cristobal de las Casas had done throughout the 60s and 70s.

though i think their downfall though had a lot to do with that historical positioning and USSR shit as well. in the wake of the collapse of the soviet union, they basically absorbed the whole hope of the global Left, from 3rd wave feminism to how Socialist states should be reimagined, and beyond -- which their movement wasn't prepared to do. so i think through the late 90s and early 2000s, they fucked up in really emphasising the indigenous element too heavily, and were transforming poor people's politics (which the Left ultimately is) into indigenous politics, and that a little too constrictive for the whole worldwide Left to stay on board with.

as for why marcos stepped down, probably because not only is he fucking old and sad now for not having really achieved the revolution that once looked so promising, the perception of the EZLN in many ways came to be about him -- someone who is not indigenous, who is University educated, who is not from Chiapas/doesnt work the land there -- and it stood at odds with how the EZLN really "should" be proceeding.

>>7838223
Dude, I've been involved with local anarchist movements for the better part of the last 10 years and there really isn't that much rivalry between libsocs (or the majority of marxists) and anarchists.

Leninists and their ilk fuck shit up, but even then things go (sort of) smoothly
>>
>>7840096
You are a fucking idiot. Why can you not just read both and not cling to you dumb identity as to who you are on a political spectrum?

Why would anyone sabotage texts on a leftist archive? Surely you could google that and get articles about why marxist.org or whatever is horrible. You are the type of spastic that makes the left criticism seems uncritical and dogmatic.
>>
>>7840330
He really doesn't. In fact one of the points he uses to attack the socialists is that they want to abolish private property. From the start of the "Social Liberalism" section

>This is the second robbery of the “personal” in the interest of “humanity.” Neither command nor property is left to the individual; the State took the former, society the latter.

Also:

>Political liberalism abolished the inequality of masters and servants: it made people masterless, anarchic. The master was now removed from the individual, the “egoist,” to become a ghost — the law or the State. Social liberalism abolishes the inequality of possession, of the poor and rich, and makes people possessionless or propertyless. Property is withdrawn from the individual and surrendered to ghostly society. Humane liberalism makes people godless, atheistic. Therefore the individual’s God, “My God,” must be put an end to. Now masterlessness is indeed at the same time freedom from service, possessionlessness at the same time freedom from care, and godlessness at the same time freedom from prejudice: for with the master the servant falls away; with possession, the care about it; with the firmly-rooted God, prejudice. But, since the master rises again as State, the servants appears again as subject; since possession becomes the property of society, care is begotten anew as labor; and, since God as Man becomes a prejudice, there arises a new faith, faith in humanity or liberty. For the individual’s God the God of all, viz., “Man,” is now exalted; “for it is the highest thing in us all to be man.” But, as nobody can become entirely what the idea “man” imports, Man remains to the individual a lofty other world, an unattained supreme being, a God. But at the same time this is the “true God,” because he is fully adequate to us — to wit, our own “self”; we ourselves, but separated from us and lifted above us.
>>
>>7840696
And even clearer in case you missed the point:

>According to the Communists’ opinion the commune should be proprietor. On the contrary, I am proprietor, and I only come to an understanding with others about my property. [...] Property, therefore, should not and cannot be abolished
>>
>>7840696
ancap ideas of property are spooky as fuck. NAP is spook extraordinaire. i would say Stirner preaches class struggle. but not in the abstract name of humanity or the society etc but naked self interest. what is the union of egoists but a collective? each disposing of property as he wills yet none respecting the others if it goes against their interests. private property in the class society sense is untenable in stirner's conception of an unspooked union
