If you're interested in a dense military history it's great. If you want a biography, there are better choices.
If you don't have a particular interest in Napoleon and his campaigns and administration it'll be a slog.
If you do, and want more than another pop-bio, you'll love it.
Highly recommend the Esposito book as well.
Both are fairly expensive, but you can probably find them in your library if you're in a decent sized town (I found both in my small city's library).
