Keep in mind, this was found on a college campus, stuffed between the seats and the wall.
Only one word to describe how you're feeling.
You barely hear the sounds of people talking, the deep and terrible thumping in your head deafens you. You open your eyes, yet cannot see. Is this Heaven? Hell?
No. All the feelings you feel right now are mortal in nature. You've failed. You let absolution slip from your grasp.
Vision returns first, the blinding light leaves, replaced by the faces of your "family", if they could ever be called that.
When your hearing returns, all you hear is beeping, and sobbing. They ask all the wrong questions. Why did you do this? What were you thinking?
Idiots. They'll never understand. It's not the why, it's for what purpose. You try to tell them they're wrong, That they should have let you go. You cannot.
You have no voice. It is then that you notice the damage. Full body cast, feeding tube, the works. Truly, you deserve this.
Days, months, years? How long will this last? What have you done, to be anchored to the mortal coil?
They tell you there is another way, to think of how it would have affected your "family".
It wouldn't have mattered. They were the one's who set you on this path in the first place.
They're only here to keep up appearances. They never cared for you.
"Mother", "Father", "Brother"? They never existed. They were only more obsticles on the path to Absolution.
You've failed yourself. Even worse, You've failed HER. They'll watch you forever, never allowing you another chance at Absolution. You'll never see HER again.
Truly, this is the true hell. To keep going on, while your life remains separate from you. What would she say, knowing you failed her?
There is no words to describe the deep and destructive rage you're feeling. So close, and yet so far.
IT'S NOT FAIR. You should be a stain on the pavement right now. Is the universe this cruel, to deny you?
Rage towards the machine, whose sole purpose is to keep you trapped. Rage toward the sheep, who blindly follow the machine.
Rage toward the universe, who never seemed to care. Rage toward yourself, never able to do right.
Despair.
Despair, knowing that she hates you. Despair knowing that you'll never see her again.
Despair, knowing that she's right. Despair knowing that you've failed.
Failed.
Failed.
Failed.
Best part? That's the only page. Everything else is blank. No name, no pictures, no bomb threats.
