Haven't been on this board for a while. Quality of discussion has dropped significantly. What happened?

/reddit posted that "/lit's top book" chart and now we've had a flood. It's never been the same.
Significant influx of /r9k/ and /mu/ posters.

I last lurked years ago. I'm noticing; everyone is accused of being a "reddit" user. People say cuck a lot, and senpai/desu is a lot more common to refer to someone.
Overall it is the same, and the only drop in quality is that people don't share large lists of books in .jpg files
I blame John Green posters, and the creation of /his/. Many of the most intellectual posts were philosophy posts, and they are now partly conducted on /his/

I think a lot of /r9k actually comes from /lit first.
/mu/ posters and constant metathreads
>>7818083
Doubt it.

>senpai/desu is a lot more common to refer to someone
They're filtered words for t.b.h. and f.a.m. senpai
we got too used to scapegoats. daily reminder alcibiades did nothing wrong
/lit/ is a bunch of 17 year old's who just read 1984 in Honors English and are beginning to discover the western canon so they don't really have any interesting discussion topics or books to talk about so they just post memes.

I left here when /mu/ invaded and went to /pol/. /pol/ is fucking terrible, you should consider yourself lucky to have even /lit/ quality discussion
We got Polanded by /r9k/, /pol/, and /mu/

Just have fantastic literary discussion and be elitist as fuck. They'll all go away in a couple of months.
>>7818082
>/his/faggots actually believe their babby's first existentialism threads were "intellectual"
kill yourself senpai
>>7818082
Wait, /lit/ was completely separated from philosophy? Then what the fuck am I doing here? No wonder these threads suck
>>7818037
Influx of self-hating Marxist nu-male liberals. Alas, I do verily dream of the day where /lit/ shall become the exclusive realm of redpilled gentleman scholars.

yes it was faggot, if you want to talk about philosophy you do it with a book, not some "I'm 15 and this is deep" bullshit
traffic probably went up
