I last lurked years ago. I'm noticing; everyone is accused of being a "reddit" user. People say cuck a lot, and senpai/desu is a lot more common to refer to someone.
Overall it is the same, and the only drop in quality is that people don't share large lists of books in .jpg files
I blame John Green posters, and the creation of /his/. Many of the most intellectual posts were philosophy posts, and they are now partly conducted on /his/

/lit/ is a bunch of 17 year old's who just read 1984 in Honors English and are beginning to discover the western canon so they don't really have any interesting discussion topics or books to talk about so they just post memes.
