Does anyone else feel like their life is represented almost perfectly by James Halliday I wanted to cry, because I felt like it was perfect.

Easily the worst book I've read in the last five years.

That book was worse than aids and now Spielberg wants to make it a movie. Nostalgia is killing originality and creativity. This book was nothing but an 80's circlejerk of shitty characters that had as much emotional depth as a badly written twilight fan fiction. Fuck that book and every mouth breathing retard that praises it.

Give it a try if you already have it on your shelf. It isn't a great novel though.

If you need it to be a brooding meditation on solitude and abandonment, then no. If you can enjoy a story of cheerfully overcoming challenges, then yes.
Very similar in tone to a Heinlein juvie.
