Is Kate Beaton the supreme patrician qt?
"no"
>>7813992
Maybe you should stick to Penny Arcade
>>7813992
desu that fathers and sons comic is pretty fucking funny
>>7813992
pretty much all of /lit/ relies on makes references to books for humour
>>7813992
butthurt over that one time that kate referred to a book he hasn't read
she's pretty horrible. not even witty feminist trash
shes a hipster. she cant draw. she is unfunny. and physically speaking she is quite plain. awful sorry
Not gonna lie, I like most of her stuff. Pretty funny. Don't pretend you didn't laugh at jules verne's letter to poe
>>7814685
>she cant draw
she's decent
>>7813963
She is my favourite webcomic besides Whomp.
But that's like winning the Special Olympics, the competition is not very tough.
>>7814727
Pictures for Sad Children used to be the best one, in terms of humor at least, but then the author went ku-ku and pulled the plug and burned his books
>>7814731
I just read about the breakdown, holy shit
Guy must be legitimately mentally ill
Guess thats what happens when you mix antidepressants with copious amounts of nihilism and drugs
>>7814788
In a way I prefer he ended up like that. Otherwise the chance of him going the way of the SJW, like pretty much all other webcomic artists was just too high
>>7814727
SMBC is golden
>>7813963
She's cool, I guess. Judging from one email I sent her noting my appreciation of her comics. She thankd me for the kind words and wished me a wonderful day. And I genuinely like her comics.
/lit/ is supposed to be the smartest board but we are without a doubt the least funny
>>7815114
What boards are funnier? For me I think its probably /r9k/, apart from being an endless hellhole, sometimes there are posts that are just way too funny and unexpected
>>7815208
/tv/ is hands down the funniest board.
It's completely self-aware, 100% of the time, but it's also pretty hostile to people who fuck up the meta humor thing they have going on, so it stays at a high level of complexity. Some of the combinations of their stupid fucking internet catchphrases and inside jokes that they come up with are genuinely incredibly clever and funny.
>>7814049
ironic because the sirens are not just any monsters
that joke is a non-joke because that was literally the point in the story
anyone involved with web comics in anyway is an idiot and a terrible person
>>7815641
ah this one just made me laugh too
>>7804273
the best part about /lit/ humor is that it's almost impossible to tell if it's actually /lit/ humor or not.
I'm new to /lit/ so it may be just me, taking "the most intelligent board" meme too seriously while reading these, but I can't read any of them without laughing
>>7814797
Yeah, it's much better for someone to have a complete meltdown than to identify with a political stance that you dislike
>>7815705
Yep
>>7815114
>/lit/ is supposed to be the smartest board
kekked to the lords. /sci/ is 10x smarter
She is pretty awesome desu.
>>7815068
it's awful except when it used to do those far side type strips
now it's just DUDE SCIENCE LMAO
>>7813963
Do anyone else want to have her babies?
>>7814049
Yeah only you 'forgot' to tell that this is from a school program where she asked foreign students to fill in her comics with what they thought were funny.
>>7816477
What do you mean?
>>7816717
I meant I want to rape her
>>7813992
>reading jokes for the punchline
fucking plebs
>>7814685
>hipster
Fuck off
>>7814666
Middlebrow is even worse than lowbrow, at least the latter makes no false pretenses on what it is.
>>7816034
>/sci/ used to be 10x smarter
Fixed
The only webcomics that so much as make me grin are Joan Cornellà's, but he always catches me off guard
>>7814049
>oh! My god! Monster is Girl
lmao
this comic gold tbqh OP BTFO
based kate
her Ada Ardor one was pretty kinky
>>7813992
Excellent post. See also: those poorly drawn philosopher comics
does anyone else have problems viewing her website with firefox? most of the time i get timeout errors, or the page doesn't load entirely, and i have to spam F5. it loads fine in Internet explorer.
hark, a vagrant, and Danbooru. same problem.
>>7816934
Would you mind giving me a link? I googled it and didn't find anything.
>>7817509
holy shit. this image. for some inexplicable reason it's just so incredibly sexy.
I just want to pound the life out of her.
>>7817959
I think the reason is pretty explicable.
>>7815068
SMBC is for autists
>>7814731
Yeah PfSC was dope.
Even the author's breakdown was artistic as shit.
