Forgot to add, there's no online catalog; you have to actually go there. 110% worth it, though; the books are handpicked straight out of U.S. (some come from public libraries) by a cool, well-read gringo, so you can find old editions, first editions, even signed hardbacks if you're lucky. The prices are reasonable, and when he has more than 1 copy in stock you can expect to find one's cheaper than the others.
Also. he sometimes has special sales. I, no shit, got all 4 Folio Society books in the pic for $10 each because "they'd been there forever and had to go".

American Book Store is absolute shit imo, they're pretty much 99% bestsellers and textbooks, and expensive as fuck to boot. If you're into that kind of bookstore, though (basic lit in simple paperback editions, hundreds of copies of every book lying around so you don't have to worry about shortage), you can get better prices at Libros Libros Libros, which is somewhere west of Auditorio Nacional.
