Does /lit/ even read?

Or are you guys like /v/?
>>
>Does /lit/ even read?

not really no
>>
>>7726445
Are you implying that /v/ dont play video games ?
>>
>>7726452
>that /v/ dont play video games
>>
>Does /lit/ even read?

Have you spent more than 5 minutes here? If you had you wouldn't have to ask this question. The answer is obviously: no.

The equivalent of "Do you even lift bro?".

de onli gud mem is a ded mem
>>
The only reading material I gain any value from is 4chan.
I read no books. All you have to do is browse /lit/ for a week or two and fill in the holes by what others say. It's also, I'd say, effective (all of the time) to insert unnecessary punctuation to do, subtly, this: make the reader feel jealous.

Couldn't that autist write it shorter?
>>
I read a couple books 5-6 years ago, I feel that qualifies me to shitpost here
>>
I started reading a lot a year ago.
>>
>>7726497
This would make sense if most of /fit/ weren't actually people who either don't lift, or have been lifting less than 6 months.

It's how they get people apparently reaching 1/2/3/4 within 6 months to a year with no athletic history.

Me
>>
Why should I? Name one good book OP, you can't.
>>
>>7726445
Yes. I just finished Candide. AMA.
>>
>>7726452
Ignoring the obvious typo, no, the implication is that /v/ doesn't read. Which is true, /v/ doesn't read because they're too busy avoiding video games.
>>
>>7726445
I really like reading but when I come to shitpost on /lit/ nobody understands my jokes since no one around here actually reads. But that's ok.
>>
>>7726836
It's just a measure to scare away dumb casuals like you.
>>
>>7728674
Maybe some do but they just ignore you because your jokes aren't funny.
>>
>>7728696
Oh.
>>
Not really, but I read about reading
>>
I wish I could read. I always drop the books after 1-2 chapters. Been thinking about buying a ebook reader (probably kindle) but worried that I'll just ignore it.
>>
>>7726445
yes we are like /v/, we pretend we don't read but we actually do
>>
I read every day. How are the /lit/erati this morning?
>>
i read 'of mice and men' in 2010

Why else would I be reading the material I do if it weren't useful to me?
I'm actually going out and applying what I know.

"Art" is a waste of time and isn't useful. Your art and emotional bullshit won't help me out here
>>
>>7733095
Why go on a literature board if you don't like art? Oh wait forgot about your autism.
>>
I'm reading Borges right now. You can ask me about it. I may not answer because I'm reading.

desu I saw this thread from the home page and thought I'd shit on your pretentious parade

Art is such a worthless topic. Is that what you people really talk about? Its so subjective that there's no point in discussing it. That would be like arguing why your favorite color is better than someone else's. Especially "art" that supposedly comes from a book. I suspect that when you say "art" you really mean your level of pretentiousness.

>there's no such thing as objectivity in art
>Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" is so bad it's good.

I never said that nig nog. Things that are bad to me are bad, I don't ironically like things to be a dumb hipster.
>>
>>7733219
By that reasoning nothing is objective a'la the cogito.

Try harder.
>>

But /v/ is about VIDEO GAMES, why the fuck they would talking about books in a fucking vg board, idiots?
