Anyone read this?
I started reading it in the library, but then I realised I forgot my library card. I really like the concept of the book, and the writing style seems pretty nice too. Is it worth sinking some time into?
I'm assuming you saw the movie?

nope, i like to read books unspoiled.

It's a pretty somber work, especially compared to the movie. Watch it after you read the book. The really impressive thing is that it was written by a woman in her 80s

its pretty good but imo a bit sentimentalist at times, but i hate children so probably im biased.
Plagiarised from "Greybeard" by Brian W. Aldiss. Read that instead.
watch the movie instead, it's much better

the movie is also very sombre. It's just cause the ending got changed that it's less depressing
