How do blacks get over the fact of slavery? ehh, sort of. There has always been resentment towards whites after slavery by blacks and rightfully so before the civil rights movement. I think that the Harlem Renaissance was a good example of how not being chained down by racial resentment could actually bring up that community.

Latifa Cucks is a meme tier genre author with NO DISCERNIBLE TALENT.
I find his writing abrasive and derivative but I at least thought it was wise of him to recontextualize his call for reparations in a context of modern gerrymandering and the carceral state - something that needs addressing beyond how it affects blacks alone as it cleaves across most of the underrepresented groups of modern life. Those are things which directly attribute to the general continued propagation of what's so easy to belittle about 'black culture'.
I've grown less and less fond of the US system of district-construction and find more fire and chance for severe disagreement and dispute in the parliamentary systems other countries enjoy.
But more than anything I find his weird sort of white-apologism rather grating and upsetting. He relentlessly criticizes white people (really facets of petty bourgeoise most often planted in white people) and then turns around and says he feels sorry for them, for some reason. But if anything this is the kind of thinking which we all ought to oppose vehemently. The time is long-past for pity and sorrow and lamentations, whether they punch up or down. We have now reached a point where such things are just another way for the powers that be to convince themselves they are accomplishing change with minor efforts - reparations, instead of systemic overhaul to what we define or exclude as proper welfare benefits; alterations of prison structure and terms rather than a severe analysis of the judicial system; etc.
It's very easy to convince people that something is wrong, and that they ought to atone for it. It's much harder to aggregate people into something that collectively will exert change. BLM has faced this problem. So did the Occupy protests. My primary criticism of Coates is that he couches himself firmly as someone doing the former, with no real interest in doing the latter. That seems to be left for someone else to do.
