What's /lit's opinion on watching tv and tvshows? I notice I get really bored and disengaged after watching too much tv for too long. I also become really sleepy and dull and when I bingewatch too much I notice I can't engage in social interaction that well. I'd rather just be reading.
Anyone have any experience here? I think /lit is one of the few places where people might just instead read all day

i think we generally don't do such things but that's just me
I don't watch TV...
Only anime.
Watch the odd futurama episode to stay sane
I watch the local news in the morning so I know if anything is going on, and I watch the Today Show so I can lay a foundation for the shitty, hateful mood that will guide me through the day. got to stay current on what I hate and why I hate it.
for the rest of the day, my TV is always on, but I only have bunny ears, so it's usually on some law-enforcement show just for background noise. occasionally I find a show on Netflix and binge-watch it. most of it isn't good, but sometimes I am surprised. Mad Men, Maron, and Making a Murderer are a few goodies, the former two being good because they are fun to watch, as well as for being relatively smart shows, so I can analyze what they are doing/how they are doing it, plot- and character-development-wise. I don't know why I like alliterative M-shows so much, I just realized that when typing this.
