It's more absurdist, but I might as well post it. It's a short story about a man that wakes up with a mysterious plastic knob on his head. One of anonymous' best works if you can stand Gregory Berrycone.

I'm working on a surreal novel. Themes of mathematics, Native American mythology, ecology, tedium, death, dreams.
I haven't written much yet, but I have been making a lot of notes and outlines. Any good surrealist literature I can read for inspiration?
Zoran Zivkovic, a serbian surrealist/fantasy author.
His works have been translated to english, as well as many other languages.
I read his 'Hidden camera' (Skrivena Kamera) 4 times over the course of 10 years thinking i'd understand it when i get older.i still don't
