Hey /lit/ bout to read this.

What can I expect? Will it tell me how to get bankrupted multiple times?

Just read it, jesus fucking christ

>how to get bankrupted multiple times
I think Trump is an insincere demagogue who is playing to the absolute lowest denominator and has no business in the election, and even I know that restructuring your business through bankruptcy is probably some of the smartest shit you can do in his situations.
>>
>>7683603
>Will it tell me how to get bankrupted multiple times?
Haha, upvoted for the win!
>>
>>7683603
Bear Stearns is mentioned.
Better broker than Merrill lynch that's for sure.
>>
>>7683733
>I think Trump is an insincere demagogue

How?

Has he ever buckled under criticism over his statements, as an insincere person might when under enormous pressure to recant a statement?

>even I know that restructuring your business through bankruptcy is probably some of the smartest shit you can do in his situations

It's not the "smartest thing." It's the only thing

He got lucky his biggest creditors essentially forgave a lot of his debt, and that the equally shitty Saudi prince swooped in to reduce him from his shitty deal making involving the Plaza Hotel

Trump is a marketer, not a businessman
>>
>>7683944
He's already completely backflipped on his views on things like universal healthcare.
Remember, Trump was a Democrat back in the early 2000's. He's just now capitalising on the lack of realistic candidates in the Republican camp. He's about as insincere as you can get, really.
>>
>>7684001
>He got lucky his biggest creditors essentially forgave a lot of his debt
Carl Icahn, one of his main creditors, asked to be Trump's secretary of treasury, and has stated multiple times that Trump was smart in what he did, and made the best of a shitty situation for everyone.

If you think Bernie is a communist then you know nothing about politics. He's still in favor of capitalism and traditional democracy.

>He's already completely backflipped on his views on things like universal healthcare.

>Remember, Trump was a Democrat back in the early 2000's.

Opinions change, but most importantly, Trump was a majorly successful real estate mogul in NY. NY is Democrat country, through and through. He adapted to his surrounds and made money, as a businessman is supposed to do.

Now, he is putting forward policy positions that resonate with Republicans, undecideds, and Democrats. He believes what he is saying and people believe him, given his remarkably high polling.

Buckle in, you're going to be seeing a lot more of Trump, and I hope you join me in loving the hell out of every moment of it. Or don't, and repeat stale bait about bankruptcy, and his success will make your salt all the more delicious.
>>
>>7684057
>>7684082

He's self described as being a socialist but he isn't one in any definition. He's not for worker control of the means of the production, he just wants a more moderated version of capitalism. He's as socialist as FDR.
>>
>>7684092

How is taking 50% of peoples money in taxes not socialism?
>>
>>7684092
Bernie just knows that he can't get away with what he really believes. About a hundred years ago he'd be toasting the deaths of the Romanovs
>>
>>7684098
In a proper socialist society there wouldn't be corporations. Bernie is still going to let private business run in America, with the traditional power structure, but they'll have to pay a little more. The government will still function the exact same. People will still vote local officials into office to make decisions for them, rather than direct democracy like socialism argues for.

>>7684099
Bernie is using it for shock value. If you look at his political history he's never been on the revolutionary left, ever.
>>
>>7684098
Because the workers don't own the means of production, you dip.

Not that it matters because the man is one shower slip away from his own assassination, but Bernie will probably pick the remains of Leon Trotsky to be his VP if given the chance

He is telling people like you exactly what they want to hear, hence insincere demagogue. He is a Peronist, a right wing populist. If the people want bread and circuses he will give them, entertain them.

He is a genius for making his retarded supporters dance to his tune, I'll tell you that.

Did you think you could stop the Right? Did you think it would ever go away?

Regardless of election outcomes, the pendulum has begun its backwards swing. I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually see some sort of riot at the next protest or pride parade. The long claws and dark nights are coming. Prepare.

>>
>>7684449
To describe the amount of fuckups that occurred in Argentina as a result of Peronists would take hours, and they continue to this day. Basically nationalism, coporatism, and close ties between state and business bred corruption and instability. Hopefully a south american fag can come and recommend some good books, but here is a nice writeup from columbia:

http://www.columbia.edu/~lnp3/mydocs/state_and_revolution/Juan_Peron.htm

Borges offered his take though (this refers directly to the peronist legacy):

>"Dictatorships breed oppression, dictatorships breed servility, dictatorships breed cruelty; more loathsome still is the fact that they breed idiocy. Bellboys babbling orders, portraits of caudillos, prearranged cheers or insults, walls covered with names, unanimous ceremonies, mere discipline usurping the place of clear thinking... Fighting these sad monotonies is one of the duties of a writer. Need I remind readers of Martín Fierro or Don Segundo that individualism is an old Argentine virtue."

>He is telling people like you exactly what they want to hear, hence insincere demagogue.

>dance to his tune

50% of the GOP say they feel betrayed by the GOP establishment and Trump is drawing many new voters in. We don't love Trump because of Trump, we love Trump because we are finally allowed to unabashedly put our interests first.
>>
>>7684501
There is a difference between cynically fighting a climate bill because it will lose jobs in your state and district, and claiming that the end times are upon us and that the barbarians are at the gates, and to do it with a flair that makes people vote for ideology and personality over experience.

Consider Kasich and Webb. Successful administrators. People dont want that. They want someone threatening to kill ISIS' family members in contravention of the Geneva Accords. Fuck him, and fuck you too for claiming to be /lit/ and not having read what happens when populists get into office.
>>
>>7684512
>the barbarians are at the gates, and to do it with a flair that makes people vote for ideology and personality over experience.

Read what the innocent bunny rabbit migrants are doing in Europe and you will understand why people are upset and wary of it happening here.

>Consider Kasich and Webb. Successful administrators.

Yeah Trump has never administered anything in his life, he's completely without experience.

>Fuck him, and fuck you too for claiming to be /lit/ and not having read what happens when populists get into office.

This board isn't your possession, if you were "/lit/" you'd be happy to have some disagree with you, but instead you are simply a snooty little chucklefuck who is more comfortable with bank bailouts, wars in the Mid East for no good but the satisfaction of a powerful domestic lobby, illegal immigration causing social and financial burdens, corporate inversion, and whatever slew of noble and righteous consequences of neoliberalism than you are a candidate putting the nation first.

Our reaction in America will be fierce, and hopefully fiercer in Europe, and this time, we won't lose to let you lie about us after the fact.
>>

>Kasich

Kasich as anti-abortion psycho who pretends to be "moderate and sensible", moreover he used to work for Lehman Brothers, the wall street bank so fucking shitty it collapsed during the 2008 crash, you think kasich won't put his wall street buddies first? between dominating uteruses and coddling wall street i don't see how anyone could vote for such a useless piece of shit
>>
>>7684512
>Fuck you for not agreeing with me!

Top kek

Barbarians are at the gate you moron, do you think a massive demographic swing caused by an influx of 3rd world immigrants isn't going to shake things up? Are concerns about this at all relevant to you, or are all the problems just caused by racist westerners who don't want to be nice?

By jove, you're right! What we need is a political upstart, maybe an ex community organizer with almost no political experience! He surely won't be corruptible and beholden to the banks!

Oh wait Obama bailed out the banks, and they're doing great. Stop shilling for one party and open your eyes- it isn't individual candidates, but the structure of government itself, that causes the corruption.

>Repeal the 19th
>>
>>7684620
>if means losing some freedoms.

The beautiful thing is that it doesn't. He's not saying he wants to expand the surveillance state (he has given it lip service, which isn't great), but he isn't for importing Muslims or undesirable immigrants. Boo hoo, the Mexican cartel member and the noble clock makers of the Middle East can't pour in. Our freedoms are unmolested by denying these people entry.

you realize that not every leftist supports Obama right?
>>
>>7684227

>>
>>7684651
Missing the point, honey. Obama had no connections to the banks, yet he has been quite good to them. Kasich having previous experience in banking isn't a good start, but as Obama's presidency has shown us, one doesn't need to be a banking insider to suck their cock.

Communism:

Democracy:

Monarcy:

Etc.
