Just read one book at a time and read a chapter or two everyday at minimum, it's not a race. You only really start to forget what happens in books if you're reading a long as fuck one or you try to jump around multiple books

If you're reading multiple books at the same time it's easy to forget the details of the most mediocre book in that group, you're probably going to still remember the general plot points but the fine details won't be there
