Hey /lit/, what's a good annotated copy of the Koran? I want something that's informative but doesn't try to shill bullshit like Islam is good or like any other religion.

I've been looking for the same answer for quite a while.
Finally settled on buying this today, as I've heard it's the best annotated version available for non-Muslims

Thanks. Do you know of any annotated collections of hadiths, both sunni and shiit?

anyone?

Could you elaborate? Do you want one annotated from by an imam, someone from one of the Western religions, a secular scholar? What does shilling "like any other religion" mean?

I want to study the Koran and understand islam, but I'm already sold on the concept that Islam is barbaric and incompatible with Western values. I worry that either I'll get a study Koran that's reddit fedora tier or trying to soften how people see the religion.
