Amos Oz is great. There's also quite an extensive Yiddish canon if you're interested.

There is one book in the Old Testament written in Aramaic as far as I remember er. And I'm Jewish, when I say "The Bible" I think "The Old Testament" as the New Testament has no cultural importance to me.
