It was the single most fulfilling novel I had ever had the pleasure to read. I was constantly in awe of his mastery of the language, as he sought to rework my mind like a blacksmith. He inspired in me some of the most personal concepts I have ever experienced through print, and I felt that in certain moments, he transcended telling a story or presenting a narrative, but broke the boundaries of communication, and simulated the osmosis of experience. He was a brilliant, funny, and incredible man, and his shit covered hand was worthy of kissing.
