How do I make myself write more daily? It seems to me that 500 words is the maximum I can manage. I don't really have time for multiple sittings, and if I manage to write 500 words a day in one sitting (and most days I have to make myself do it), I feel creatively spent for the day.
What do? Pic unrelated.

Are you saying I should just make myself write more?

No, I'm telling you to build a wall. Literally go out into your garden, pick a spot, get some bricks and get building.
You can't call yourself a man until you've built a wall

What's the story behind this wall-obsession? My dad has always wanted me to build one.

How can you call yourself a man if you haven't built a wall?
Genuinely curious.

Sometimes i write something that depresses me and can't do it for the rest of the day.
I find it's easier to write if the topic energizes me.
Just my two cents.

What if you hollowed out a canoe? Would that suffice? Or made a basket-court?

Don't be ridiculous. Absolutely no.

To hell it is, you can't call yourself a man until you know that you are a man. Building a wall doesn't stand for nothing. It's pure drivel.
