yes, there are a books on there that are on my backlist but all books I read I make sure to never open the pages past 90 degrees to ensure their preservation. I take notes in a little notebook I keep on the side so that I never have to write on those soft, thickish pages.
Im sorry but It is hard for me to read a book unless it is in astounding physical condition (This only goes for fiction, as is evident with my calculus textbook). Above all else, I take great lenghts to ensure the physical appearance of my books does not wither.
After I finish reading a chapter I will flip back to the immaculate cover page to admire the little art piece and the overall color scheme; doing so greatly enhances the reading experience for me, depth and further enjoyment is added in scoops.
The edition of against nature that I own is incredible. The pages are resolute and girthy and the cover is the perfect chimera between a hardcover and a paperback. I love to simply feel the book in my hands while admiring that wonderful choice of cover art; the self-portrait by Schiele could not be more appropriate and against the black backdrop divinity is reached.
