since you said "appears" and not "is" , it shows that you cling to "truths" that have no real value in actual conversations so that means you will never be able to say something convincingly since you will think/know that it might not be technically true

How to Win Friends and Influence People
There is no winning an argument. People already have their position and will not change until they are ready, ESPECIALLY if you confront them about it. Getting in arguments will just make people more stuck in their position, and maybe even dislike you and stop listening to you entirely.
If you want to convince someone of something new:
1. ASK if they would like your advice, or WAIT for them to ask you for it.
2. Tell them what you think in a polite way.
3. If they reject it, and you've tried once to explain your reasoning, drop it.

If your opponent chooses to ignore what you have said and instead decides to stick with their stance regardless of the strength of your argument, then it doesn't matter your conviction. Debate is pointless with someone incapable of shifting their beliefs unless you have an audience who can draw their own conclusions.
