I feel like buying something really modern soon, but I'm not sure what. I sometimes think all the truly great books have been written and released, I guess. Sad if true.
A Brief History of Seven Killings
My Struggle
City on Fire
A Naked Singularity

Taipei (seriously)
And the two mentioned already
A Brief History sounds good, although I've never heard of the author (despite him apparently being famous). City on Fire looks like the kind of book I'd like, although it got fairly average reviews. I'll see if I can find either tomorrow, if I'm in a bookstore.
