how is this book so critically acclaimed?

>wooden dialoge
>dry writing
>mostly two dimensional characters with the exception of pablo
>circlejerking about being manly
>female love interest is made almost as boring as cosette in les mis
>glorification of bull fights

maybe i'm just not digging hemingway, although it's the only book of his i've read

I read the book, and it was all right. Not the best thing I've read.
