First book I read when I decided to get "into" literature beyond sci-fi/fantasy.

agreed. all Ivan does throughout the book is just be really effective at work and get lucky enough to gain extra weapons/food. like leveling up in a videogame. comfy.

It was surprisingly comfy as Ivan goes about his day. His peers (friend with the boots, Moldavian) are the ones who really suffer.
