Books that are almost embarrassing to read now because of the overly complex language?

This book is made almost unreadable by its technobabble.

OP here

I should clarify that I do not necessarily mean complex, but more mean "trying to sound smart".
>>
STOP

Half of its "technobabble" is now used in actual tech and the other half is easily understood by anyone because it's become a sci-fi staple.

The language is not - complex -
C N O T
O
M N O T
P
L N O T
E
X N O T

Still a shitty book tho

Yeah I kinda realized I used the wrong word with "complex".

But how do you feel like the technobabble is not retarded. To me it feels like at least half of why this book is so shit.
>>
I think it's more embarrassing how cheesy its use of scifi tropes is
I actually like the barrage of faux-scientific talk mixed with scifi junkie vernacular
the aesthetic is about the only thing I enjoyed in the book

i'm sick of people saying this book created the cliches though because all it did was steal from 60s scifi and give it a new aesthetic

I read this shit to try to get into some chick's pants in high school. Ii'm sure it had a huge impact 30 years ago, but it's only interesting to read now as a history lesson.

I first read Neuromancer when wasted on painkillers after a circumcision operation.
Can't remember anything from it, just being mindblown.
Gonna give it a re-read.
