There's too much of that, be your own man. Focus more on writing likeable, believable characters with genuine, realistic interactions and also they make fuck. Do what porn can't, and that's make people care. Don't really just lay on the feelings, but let the reader develop them through and with the chracters. This is also severely influenced by my desire to read genuinely good homoliterotica
