What is /lit/'s opinion of tvtropes.org?
if i may speak for /lit/
it's fantastic, very clever
Your post made my eye twitch. I think that answers the question.
the plebbiest trash ever plebbed
Probably my favourite website. Can't watch a show or read a book without checking it afterwards.

wow
It's OK
Pretty clever at times -- mostly unfunny, though.

Completely inadequate. It needs more porn.

I hate it. I end up going on it everyday by accident, but that just makes me hate it even more. I haven't visited it nearly as much as I have before, though, the fact that someone as gross as Iconoclast uses it as their stomping grounds has turned me off.
I think they're at the basis of the derailing of the meaning of the word 'deconstruction' into something that more or less means 'analysis', and for some reason that pisses me off. So fuck them.
That said, they do offer good 'second opinions' on some works, it's a very easy way to get someone else's insights into a media work you've just read/watched/listened to.
it's completely fraudulent and pseudointellectual, aka just like /lit/ but in a different format :^)
I liked it more before the mods started trying to turn it into a "respectable" wiki and hacked up the pages into tiny categories of "YMMV".
