I mostly read for enjoyment. Mostly historical and biographical books are what I've gotten into. The /lit/ charts have gotten me into more literary literature, which I've begun to enjoy more now that I can appreciate the mechanics of writing and the thought that goes into them.

They tell /lit/ they are bettering themselves, or that other people should improve themselves by reading the books they recommend.
