YFW you realize Gaddis and Gass posters are slowly overtaking the DFW and Pynchon posters

This is a good thing, anon.
Compare to this thread and see how much /lit/ has grown over the years: https://warosu.org/lit/thread/S502637

>All those retards criticizing Gaddis
Triggered.
>>7488291
wow, that's hilarious. I really just want to see some fresh memes, getting tired of DFW faces.
Gass faces are the hot new ones
im one of the people whose always shitting on the pynchon memekids
fucking gla to see see the patrician minority's finally making themselves known
>>7488308
>Gass
I'll bet he has plenty
will Bolaño-posting ever become a thing?
>my soul when it doesn't
>>7488346
How about Andrea Dworkin posting? She deserves it because she has a HUGE following here.
>>7488346
I hope so to be quite honest family, Bolaño is great
>>7488346
There's nothing to post about genuinely cool and lively people after they've died because they're not funny. If they were alive we could banter about them in the hope they'd interact with people who are funny - such as Žižek; any second now that guy could be appearing in Canada on a forum with Jim Carrey, but after he's dead the memes will dry out.
>>7488380
I guess DFW faked his death
>>7488380
>post yfw Pynchon finally fucking croaks
>>7488398
I think it's sad when people die.
>>7488402
excellent post

The only reason we're seeing more of these authors being memed on /lit/ is for the sheer novelty. This obsession with the new and the flashy sits somewhere in the core of 4chan and most of western culture. The extra irony of this place in particular is that our brand "new and flashy" is usually just something obscure to this particular bubble (not too far from hipsterism, 2bLincoln senpai)
The fact of the matter is that DFW and Pynchon are better authors, and have more relevance todaygiving them greater meme potential
>>7488370
I second Andrea Dworkin! Her books are great!
>>7488480
Thinking DFW or Pynchon are better than Gaddis or Gass is pretty hilarious, especially DFW.
>mfw I realized Gass lives like 2 blocks from my apartment
>watch Gass and Gaddis interviews for meme research
>find out they're actually pretty smart and entertaining people to listen to
I'm not seeing the meme in these authors, but if it means more discussion about these guys, I'm okay with it.
>>7488579
John Barth gives the most entertaining interviews, IMO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lId58m05YRo
>>7488480
Pynchon, Delillo and Gaddis are the best.
DFW is shit and Pynchon is inconsistent and usually a bit too long.
>>7488565
theyre all bad writers desu
>>7488866
You mean the best American novelists of the past 50 years?
>>7488887
Pynchon is great but I think I prefer Delillo and Gaddis.
DFW I don't think is in the same league.
I haven't read any Gass. He might be closer to DFW-tier.
Is this really gaddis in pic related?
He looks so much more different here.
than who was book?

Infinite Jest.
