How come /lit/ never talks about magazines? Are there any /lit/ approved mags? (Indie or otherwise)
Are there any journalist here (or anyone aspiring to be one)?

It was a serious question.
I was studying Journalism at Harvard but got kicked out a couple of months before I graduated over some shit. Had to move in with my sister and her husband in the UK.

magazines, eh? check out the Omni reboot website. you can smell the death wafting off it.
do you mean blogs, or printed on paper and distributed to walmart magazines?
Lit hates The New Yorker for some reason. I think the short fiction and long form reporting is great.

All the girls who are "into literature" carries around the New Yorker tote they got free with their subscription.

>paying for regular literature that isn't even the primary concern of those who write it
started reading the economist recently. the articles are well-written and i appreciate the global perspective they offer. i'm not entirely behind their neoliberal ideology, but they wear it on their sleeve so it's easy to read around it.

Any of three will do.Although I feel like blogs are probably much more prevalent these days.
