no, when you're an addict you quite literally lose time. as in, you can't remember what happened for long periods of time. often i find a poem or a story i have no memory of writing but my productivity was much lower than it was in sobriety and the quality of those works are about the same. rougher due to less editing but more visceral.

Alcoholism is a really great solution. It solves most problems everyday for about 8 hours, when you drink and you listen to hundreds of songs loud or quiet as fuck, read hours of literature, look out thousands of images of art, girls, culture, fashion, nature and everything else. And afterwards you feel tired and have an alcohol afterglow.
The only thing it can't solve is long term plans and hard work.
