Well of course she isn't renowned anymore since as a German you're forced to denounce the RAF (which she took part of as a woman with a career and family, hardly teen angst). But she did write plenty of Marxist-feminist analysis of post-war German society for various left magazines/newspapers. Her "teen angst" would only cover her anti-nuclear protests, which were part of the beginnings of post-war German left radicalism.
If you can't appreciate the social critique, she's at least great for quotes.
