Less Than Zero is really good, American Psycho has some good bits. That's about it.
solid writer. Glamorama is the GOAT BEE novel, followed by Rules, and his podcast is one of my favorite things.

Amazing writer. Will be remembered for years to come. His prose snap crackles and pops. Every time you open a book with ' bret easton ellis' on the cover, you're looking at words that have been painstakingly considered. This guy can WRITE.
American Psycho was pretty funny. And a few parts gave me boners.
Lunar Park was funny as well. Bret becomes a suburban dad. Hijinks ensue.

How many other people wrote and published a GOAT novel at the age of 21 while still in college? That alone makes him special. He's less relevant post-Generation X, but now he gets to occupy the resident crank role, and I appreciate it for the most part. He's a relic of the last era in which you could say your job description was just "novelist".
Probably at the top of my list for writers I wish I could hang out with. Partying with upper class qts, doing a few lines of coke away from the party, ending the night with some cheeky assplay; I'm down.
