Weird fiction general? I just started on "The Weird: A Compendium of Strange and Dark Stories". Dug the excerpt of The Other Side, not so much The Screaming Skull. Also currently reading Laird Barron's Imago Sequence. I don't know why he doesn't get mentioned more around here.
racist shit
Thomas Ligotti thread? I'm just about to read "The Shadow, The Darkness". The last story in the "Teatro Grottesco" collection.

cool. That's on my list too. I have a bunch of his books on my kindle. Where would you recommend starting with Ligotti's fiction?
>>7471626
Songs of a Dead Dreamer and Grimscribe. Basicly a collection of two of his first collections.

Lovecraft thought the same of his ideas often. Continue to hone your craft, my dear anon.
>>7471923
Did he really? I know he was a troubled guy but his stories are top notch.

You are always your harshest critic
(Unless you have an ego problem)
>>7471838
You were insulted by it.
You are pretty mad online.
>>7471998
Creators gripe, right?
>>7471554
Take this problematic material elsewhere, please.
What do you think is the best collection of his works?

This contains every single story that H. P. Lovecraft wrote by himself.

>"rather middling—not as bad as the worst, but full of cheap and cumbrous touches"
His opinion on Call of Cthulhu

Have this collection, it's definitely worth the purchase. The quality is very good for the price, although the paper is a little too thin and you can see the almost clearly blurred text from the next and previous pages.
>>7472269
Wasn't he depressed or something? Could be why he thought his work was mediocre.

lovecraft is bestcraft
