How do you reach a state of non-attachment, /lit/?
Where every situation is the best possible situation?
seems impossible 2bh even though so there's so many spiritual traditions that advocate it.
You haven't factored in time.

I don't know. I just remind myself that in general, we're a very chaotic species and most of what happens doesn't matter anymore because in the end the Sun will expand, Earth will die out, and every trace of civilization, nature, history, everything, will turn to ash. Maybe we'll just nuke ourselves into oblivion before that but fuck it. Really, just try to enjoy life. I know it's difficult but strive to do a little good.

I would prefer not to

There you are, Bartleby. Now would you *please* get back to work?

>shameless hedonism
fuck me
>>7472877
The shameless hedonists I've met during my time don't really seem too content with life. They all develop weird and twisted character traits, and get immensely depressed and unreasonable over the smallest things.

it's pretty much a matter of practice like everything else. practice mediation
>>7471264
Meditate
Use dissociatives occasionally, DXM>Ketamine>PCP - in terms of spiritual potential
Study stoicism

What do you mean exactly by non-attachment, OP?
>>7473156
Fairly sure he means emotional disattachment, like stoicism.

I'd advice Buddhism then to be honest, since it has a lot of actual clear cut practices that are still practiced.
