STEMkids are the existential equivalent of people who go to a nice restaurant and order chicken fingers.
>you're all just jealous your food didn't come with a crazy-straw
It makes me sad for them when I'm not busy being disgusted by them.
>>7470037
And humanitiesfags are the cerebral equivalent of a puffer fish.
>actively "picking a side"
>>7470042
You can always tell a stemfag by the clumsy affected writing.
>>7470058
*You can always tell a stemfag by the clumsy, affected writing.
Please learn proper syntax if you are going to try to insinuate others do not possess it.
>>7470037
>>7470042
Neither of you have any idea, nor could you handle the sciences beyond 101 level. I agree that the sciences leave people narrow minded pufferfish if they don't know to beware of this themselves, but there's absolutely no doubt whatsoever that what they do is much more difficult and much more beneficial than what you do.
>>7470058
It's only because human language is far below his intellectual intelligence. He dreams in code, it's much more logical than english.
>>7470071
remove the pole from your anus,,,,, friend
>>7470085
No pole here, friend, just pointing out that it's hypocritical of you to call other's writing clumsy if you can't even use a comma properly.
>>7470079
how embarrassing
>>7470092
Why do you think I'm on /lit/?
>>7470087
If you can't get it out yourself I suggest you see a doctor
>>7470092
You on the left, tb'h. I cycle back and forth between STEM and /lit/ interests every 6 months or so. Doesn't mean I don't recognize how pathetic full-on STEMlords are.
>>7470124
lol this guy is spergin hard
>>7470124
Here's your reply.
>>7470004
The jetpack guy lives a fun and fulfilling life while the hipsters are miserable and will die of liver failure.
>>7470172
Here's your reply, too.
>>7470172
They look more like they're supposed to be lit professors from the 40s or 50s than hipsters
>>7470172
The jetpack guy will get a movie deal or a graphic novel deal and make millions.
The literature guys who think fantasy and sci-fi are beneath them, writing about post-modern people fucking in the city will die appreciated but penniless as their 'fans' pirate all of their work.
>>7470197
There's lots of good literature that's so obscure you can't even pirate it
your left or MY left???
>>7470004
>implying the greatest thinkers and authors aren't firmly in the middle
>>7470042
Puffer fish are quite intelligent, though
https://youtu.be/2i6LhaKTvOs
why do STEMlords think everyone else in the world is a dumbass utilitarian?
>I derive my identity from the coprorate classification of the medium I consume
>>7470247
No pls let Munrovians continue w/self indulgent smuggery
>>7470004
this is the sort of image that makes me embarassed to like science fiction. it has a smug, bloggy tone that exists to make the creator feel clever and empower others to do the same.
its the kind of thing for sale at conventions as a shitty button for $2
>>7470004
this thread is fucking /lit/
Wow you are specially shitty tonight /lit/
Can't we just go back to DFW shitposting?
>>7471322
stop policing threads retard
thread's still active
>>7470037
>>7470042
I wish stem and humanities people stop fighting someday.
In the end it is nothing more than a way to boost their ego - "I am smarter!", "No! I am smarter!", which is silly and very much childish. Every time I read comments of that sort, all I see is two people arguing about who's penis is bigger.
>>7471322
>stop bumping it retards
>bumping it retards
>it retards
>retards
>retard
It's funny because you bumped it, too.
>>7471365
Actually the difference between your post and the second retard is the same difference between the two retards
So nice going, retard, that's the definition of hypocrisy right there
>>7471368
>second retard
You're assuming that I care whether this thread gets promoted to the first page or not, which makes you–oh let's not get into that.
How are finals going, buddy?
>>7471365
And d'uh.
>>7471372
But by definition, neither is the second retard's post. So you're still a hypocrite, which is what I said. Retard.
HA! HA! HA! I was only pretending to be a retard!
>>7471385
I didn't say you bumped it, I said you were a hypocrite. So I win. I have won. I am the master of /lit/. Bow before my shitposting.
>>7471392
Ha No!!! You all thought that I was serious and I wasn't! You have been trolled.
>mfw falling for the memes
>>7471382
What's that famous old adage?
Oh yeah: takes one to know one–hahah–!!!
Sounds like someone solely reads genre fiction. Kek-money.
(That was a burn btw, do you feel it? Probably not because you clearly have the emotional sensitivity of a cheese sandwich.)
>>7471400
>>7471401
ITT: /lit/ butthurt over my trolling memes
>>7471418
Of course I'm butthurt. I'm a faggot, didn't you know?
*waddles off bow-legged*
>>7471427
I was a woman who was joking. Try proof for that. Could I persist? Duoly!

>implying Genre-fiction is bad
ASIMOV is the true meme trilogy. ;)))
>>7471454
I didn't bruv. I implied that the general consensus on this board is that genre-fiction is bad. As I hope you can tell, my post to which you're referring was written in finite jest.
Farcical, facetious, funny–!!!
>>7471540
I don't write Infinite Jest but I condone you're one upmanship in this conventional bipartisanship. In furthermore have fun with your doorstopper while I read a real book that isn't le so advanced and intelligent!!!!XD!!!????)))
>>7471547
B-but anon, I love Asimov, too. In fact, because I can tell that we both legitimately enjoy sci-fi, let's put everything behind us and suggest some good reads–really.
If you haven't already, you should definitely check out a novella called The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect. It's about an AI that discovers a quirk in quantum mechanics and appropriates the entire universe, converting it into a cyber-space reserved solely for humans. I think it's public domain at this point (because it was written by a random dude who wrote nothing else) so you can find it through Google really easily. Seriously though, it doesn't have the best prose by any means, but the content is interesting as shit. Check it out.
