Trump was handsome back in the day.
>>
>>7463860
If this is truly the case, the 21st century has been doing pitifully thus far.
>>
>>7463860
Oh and this was published in 1987. :/

Can you summarize what the book's about?
>>
>>7463930
He doesn't talk much about his success and failures, he just reveals us how to make America great again. It's worth reading, I was going for Sanders before.
>>
>>7463936
It's exactly the headline. He shows what's wrong, how it whould be and how achieve it.

It's well known that Hilary will win the election, whether we like it or not - the entire ordeal we have to trudge through until that point is ugly though.

The more the media and establishment attack, the more I know he's the right guy. This country is lost to the engineered PC movement.

I fully believe we've been trained by decades of PC culture for this very moment. Where anything you say can be called racist in the middle of a wave of cultural Marxism.

Why do we need all these immigrants when we can't even take care of our own natural born American citizens?

Trump says some whack stuff, it's provocative. It gets the people going. It's moving the discussion forward. PC culture is a sham.

You fascist imbeciles from /pol/ are ruining this board.

Also, going from Sanders to Trump? They have opposing ideas on virtually every issue. What are you, five? Do your personal ideologies sway based on the time of the month?

Maybe the immigrants wouldn't be coming from Mexico if NAFTA didn't ruin their economy? Ever think of that?

And did you in fact that know that a lot of them aren't Mexican?
Thats right. They're actually from further south. Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatamala, Honduras is where a lot of them are actually from.
They're coming because of Rayguns terrorist wars against their societies in the 80s absolutely wrecking everything and leaving them in ruins with no prospects

ex leftist here. used to read and listen to Chomsky, David Harvey, Zizek (still like this guy, even more now) Naomi Klein etc and watch all the liberal talk show guys like Maher and Stewart. Subscribed to the Militant newspaper too. Voted for Obama twice and considered myself far left for almost 10 years. Supported Bernie when he started running.

Now I have been drifting right for years, slowly on this issue and that, but to be honest, Ive found the left to be very stifling, even at my most extreme. I dont want to wade too deep into my political evolution, but I will say that the more you listen and learn about liberalism, the more you start to realize that liberals are in a crisis of ideology--- that progressivism has reached somewhat of a dead end (Zizek even suggested that if none of the countless solutions work, maybe it's time to start rethinking the problem).

That is the short version. I started rethinking the problem. I sifted and mined through the bullshit mass media consumerist "be yourself" propaganda, became very depressed, read a lot of Kafka (related to his being lost in a world too massive and alienating to comprehend) became more depressed, read Cioran, wanted to die, but then I finally started to realize that it may not have to be like this. i woke up. Ive recently even opened mind to what are traditionally known as post-war no-nos. Reactionary politics including elements of nativism, nationalism, monarchism and yes even fascism (Zizek hinted in his film that a broad rejection of even Nazism was essentially counter productive)

A nationalistic, strong president like Trump may be radical enough to help stimulate a stagnant political atmosphere where "starting a dialogue" is so often the only form of political action that it has become a useless cliche in and of itself. Plus he utterly pisses off everyone I know so thats good too.
>>
>>7464545
You're still thinking small though. If you try to work within the system and not overthrow it, things will always decline like they are.

The system itself is flawed. It doesn't matter how radical you are whether you're a socialist or a fascist. If you're in the system, you've lost.

You have to destroy it through violent uprising and insurrection.

You have to buy several guns, support anti-gun legislation, support weakening the military and the police, and then kill as many opponents as possible.

That's how you win. That's how this shit can change.
>>
>>7464556
if that actually happened the way you suggest it would result in the gayest new regime possible and get immediately overthrown again
>>
>>7464561
>establishing a regime

No. Just kill everyone who opposes you and then live on your own away from others.

>>
>>7464545
I know this feel sort of. I'm pretty center of the road, probably libertarian if I had to choose. Big JS Mill fan, also really like Zizek. It feels weird to have a sort of intellectual basis for liking Trump. I probably won't even vote for him, but I think there's this stagnant restlessness in this moderate US political climate. Nothing big happens, no actual changes. Think about Obama: it was the big change everyone wanted but he went down the same path as every other overexposed candidate of the past 30 years - just carefully crafted statements and clever, lukewarm political moves. It's exciting to see a candidate who genuinely doesn't give a fuck, a candidate who is going to totally revamp the system to the chagrin of the establishment. Whether or not he does a good job it will at least be extremely interesting and will probably force people to rethink politics.

>A nationalistic, strong president like Trump
Trump is feeding you a public persona. Being loud and brash has done nothing to prove his resolve. And even if he does remain the stalwart blowhard in office, being strong on issues doesn't mean he'll do so intelligently.
