Is infinite jest worth reading in spanish?
Btw, spanish cover > american cover

>2015
>being Mexican
>>7461300
por supuesto
>>7461300
I like the idea for the cover but it comes out horribly. That looks more like a magazine cover than a book.
>>7461300
Sure. DFW is not exactly a prose-god, so I'd worry more about the content than the style.
>>7461305
Dont compare me with those shitskins, im from spain, land of prosperity and beautiful girls
>>7461326
Carry on, then.
>>7461326
>spain
>beautiful girls
kek
btw, your accent sucks
>>7461326
The only whites are Anglos.
>>7461326
>Spain
>white
topkek. You're the same as those "shitskins" but worse because you're arrogant enough to think you're white like us
>>7461336
Anglos have more shitskins than most south american countries.
>>7461326
OP here, this retard is not me
Is pic related a good introduction to dfw style?
>>7461338
Have you ever been to spain?
>>7461326

>>7463629
I accepted that i simply cant learn all the lenguages in the world bro
>>7461300
kiss ass
>>7461300
This >translations meme only makes sense if you're only buying stuff like, pre-60s, non-fiction books (and even then, you can still get enough about the original on the internet these days)
Also, DFW isn't that good, I've read IJ in both english and portuguese and both were lackluster
>>7463637
Have you read all the worthwhile literature written in the four languages you speak?
Of course not.
>>7461300
>spanish
I am so tired of spics being on my /lit/
gtfo with your gross fucking culture and your gross fucking skin and your gross fucking language.
>>7463832
>/pol/eb posting this hard
>>7463832
-_-
>>7461300
I don't get the point of the cover. Is it just some jab at middle-class, middle-American suburban life? If so, I don't really see how it fits with the novel I just started and am about 100 pages into. Maybe I'll understand later.
Or is it just a way to convince Hispanic/Latino readers who detest Anglo-American culture that this book, with an obviously gringo author, is actually making fun of American culture and Americans? That's my guess.

Any thoughts, OP?

Spanish has to be the easiest fucking language in the whole wild world
>>7465286
uh, no, mate, that's english.
>>7465300
English was incredibly easy to learn, but I'm convinced Spanish is even easier.
I don't know much about Spanish grammar though, is any of it complicated?
>>7461326
Typical insecure southern Spaniard, kek.
>>7465275
i just realized that knowing italian i can perfectly understand written spanish.
>>7465415
You should also try portuguese
>>7465431
Or Galician or Catalonian, they're all the same language, anyway.
>>7465275
Gracias por el extendido mensaje, supongo que le leere en español y mas adelante me haré con una copia en ingles.
>>7465389
What a terrible accent. But they are just demonstrating different dialects, Spanish is not that hard. English seems easy because everyone learning it is immersed from young age, but getting the pronunciation and tenses right as a true beginner is hard. Still easier than fucking German, but I'll learn it some day, the reward is too high.
>>7465275
>tfw I can still understand Spanish after not having used it for +4 years
Thanks based anon. Beautiful language by the way.
