>>7446781
yeah it's unfortunate. the reason he's able to write 2 books a year is because he recycles (self-plagiarizes) like crazy. so if you wanna know what all of his books are like, skim his latest next time you're in a bookstore and you'll have a pretty good idea of the normal Hegel/Lacan/Lenin mashup

I'm absolutely laughing my ass off at the absurdity of this image. Anyone with even the faintest knowledge of history would know that the "corn" that Caesar speaks of in Commentaries On The Gallic War is not the corn that we in the west are familiar with, but is rather a poor translation for the word "grain" which in Latin is "Frumentum"
Myself and many others who have read the commentaries would know what you're trying to refer to with your image but it's wrong. Unless of course you were already aware of this and you are posting this ironically. In which case I commend you for your post but it's still blatantly wrong. I would have gone with a collage of images of wheat instead.

No, the idea that she was dead was just made up by the OP of the original thread. As far as I know nobody knows who she is, but those pictures are probably not of a dead woman. That said, it's been like 8 years, so she might have been stabbed by a crackhead or run over by a car by now for all we know.

That's Sartre's philosophy. I'm assuming that he expected what he did from Camus because he doesn't actually understand the distinctions between the different existentialists (or existentialists and absurdists, if you like).
>Not giving a fuck, etc.
That's Camus in a tiny, incomplete nutshell.
The expectation wasn't necessarily idiotic: The Stranger isn't a bad place to start if you're exploring existentialism, but thinking that this amateur mistake is worthy of making into one of these images/posting it is idiotic.
p.s. explain to me what the fuck you interpret as having happened then
>>7465526
Started reading it yesterday, don't get it at all. I mean I've only read essays called cybergothic and another one about Lovecraft (letters one) and it's literally just a bunch of words strewn across the page that are supposed to mimic the aesthetics he's trying (?) to invoke. Have no idea what the point is, tons of sentences have no sense whichever way you put them, just fluff.
Is he trying to be a french 'philosopher'?
