I was obsessed with this book back when I was 16. I read everything Boyd had to say on Nabokov. I think I even chuckled at Lucette's suicide.

Goethe was a German writer and a statesman who lived in the 18th century. You must be an American if you didn't know this.
For all his logic and analysis Wittgenstein lacked common sense. No one can sum up what he's trying to say, I think even he can't say what he's trying to say clearly. Did he even make a point? Is that really intelligent?
