What I'm wondering is what is the best edition to go with it? The artist based his pictures an edition that has 760 pages but now is only a collectible and costs a lot of money. Which would be the best edition that's available at the moment? I've head people recommend the Vintage one but that one has 912 pages. Penguin edition seems close because it has about the same amount but I heard people complain about it.

The black & white penguin is 776 pages and other than the one sentence notoriously being fucked up it really doesn't have that many typos; I think I noticed a few but nothing disproportionate. It seems close enough to what you want and I don't think the edition should really give you any trouble

My mom got me it for Christmas a while back. I was really surprised to have gotten it not even knowing it existed and thinking it was a great idea, and I love it for that because I love my mom.
But I wouldn't really recommend paying money for it. All the pictures are available for free online and most art not very good and they all begin to look samey by about halfway.

The artist had them all on his website less than a year ago. Curiously it appears to be gone now. Just try digging around a bit though. Has to be somewhere. Maybe like the wayback machine or one of those things will have it
Stupidest part was the free version the artist put out it was caption to show which passage of text each drawing drew from specifically, and in the print edition there's no such caption
