I didn't like Old Man's War, White Noise and Neil Gaiman. First is absolute garbage, second is really edgy and bland and third simply isn't very good.
Fitz' Great Gatsby is boring as shit and poorly written
People keep saying Consider Phlebas isn't the book to start with and that it turns everyone off the series
Gaiman isn't good at prose but these are probably his most tolerable

that said malazan does some interesting things. That said it gets progressively worse and is clearly built in the hopes of making a card game.
Your list is huge and Im not going to go through it, but a lot of them are books you "should" read, and thats no way to go through life.
