To what degree can this be considered a psychedelic novel?
>>7370119
As far as I could tell, not very, unless you count confusing as psychedelic.
>>7370119
3rd degree. The Dedalus chapters are proto-psychedelic, Circe speaks for itself, rest not so much.

There is your answer.

Not at all because it's never been considered a psychedelic novel and probably never will be.

I think it's pretty psychedelic. it's psychedelic in the same way Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica is "psychedelic" though.
anything with stream of consciousness, "unreliable" narration, free-form textual conventions, etc., anything da-da, surrealist or generally avant-garde, is going to be arguably psychedelic. A lot of people carry negative connotations about psychedelia though, too entrenched in the idea of hedonism and the bohemian.
>>7370119
To 0 degree. It can be considered a boring novel to the 9th degree.
>>7370119
