Settling down with a glass of wine and a few Sartre plays. How do you guys like to settle in for a night of reading?
>>
>>7307644
Go to the library and spend the whole night reading
>>
Is that a hotpocket?
>>
>>7307658

yeah. Ham and cheese. Paired nicely with the wine.
>>

My house is actually really bad for reading. We just don't have it organized as such. I used to read under the stairs like harry potter but that's when I was little and now I'm aware of how uncomfortable and dusty that is. So, I just walk circles around the big kitchen since it's the best lit place at night. I like using my ereader in bed, but since I buy so many used books and check out so many library books, I can't read them in bed.
>>
>>7307664
you're god's chosen one
>>
>>7307681
do you really pace in circles while you read? do you find that king of repetitive activity conducive to your reading comprehension?
>>
>eating greasy food while reading

please don't do that anon
>>
>>7307644
Bust a couple nuts up in my gf then get up and read while she's passed out.
>>
Preparing a random list of music centered on the string family of instruments, and putting them on shuffle.
>>
>>7307691
Pacing in general helps me think, so I don't think it help or hinders.

Couch. Beer or wine. Quiet instrumental music.
>>
I read on my bed with a mug of Lapsang Souchong
>>
>>7307644
>greasy food
>shit food
>red wine from a stemless glass

I recommend reading Dan Brown with this setup. It will fit just right.

I mean the notion is probably right but you completely botched pulling it off.

>>
>>7308378
Agree with you on the food but drinking wine from a stemless glass is pretty parish desu. Duralex small glasses are godtier for red wine
>>
>>7308574
In countries with great wine-making tradition they drink it from any kind of glass. Stemware is for more formal occasions.

Americans tend to make dinking wine an unnecessarily ceremonious activity.

Living in Venice, I can read a lot while travelling via boat to the campus. I usually do that. Or during lesson, if I'm bored. Having a roommate, reading in bed it's kind of difficult.
>>
During the summer, I read on a sofa in the conservatory. It's too cold and/or dark out there in winter, so I read in bed or at my computer desk.

I'm at university and also read quite a bit at the campus library. It's a tall building and the upper floors are usually pretty empty.
>>
Always just lying in my filthy unmade bed, probably soaked in sweat and perfumed with the moist and fertile aroma of fresh semen as I like to have a wank to calm me down before I crack a book
>>
what some good cheap wineuuuuu
>>
I only read in bed. I have considered taking my book to the local pub in afternoons because it might feel less lonely reading there than spending all of my leisure time at home alone, but I worry that people will think I'm some kind of poser.

Live in cramped crummy student accommodation and I tend to read in bed or sat beside it. The library is always rammed so I can't really go there.
>>
In the bathroom with the florescent lights and vent fan running. Its like its own pocket dimension away from the world.
>>
At night make a nice little reading-shrine by the window with a flickering candle light and the reflection of your pale, unfortunate self looking back.
>>
>>7307644
In my bedroom, lying on my bed.

>>
I like to go to my moms unrented cottage in small summer beach village and get completely naked and read either in bed, the kitchen table or living room
>>
I like to read in the evening or at night (though I read most times of day, I make something special out of my evening/night reading sessions).

I pack my pipe, brew some coffee and get my plaid and sit in my recliner, reading, drinking coffee and smoking my pipe. Happy days.
>>
>>7307737

I play violin in the city symphony, and we hate pretentious tryhards like you
>>
>>7307644

A glass of rum and a box of filled chocolates. Light some candles and put on a soft blanket. Occasionally put on some classical music, usually piano.

I love being petite bourgeois.
>>
>>7307644
i dont really like reading
usually just some odd chapers from ASOFAI on my kindle during my morning commute

Little do you know that he meant heavy metal
>>
Personally I don't need accessories to enjoy my reading.
>>
>>7307644
A cozy, secluded spot in the library is my favorite, but I usually settle for reading in bed and falling asleep
>>
>>7307664
I put monster munch in pot noodle and have it with a Budweiser
>>
How the fuck you eat all that oil while reading. I'd feel too filthy.
Usually I just sit on a random couch with a cup of coffee next to me. Wine if it's weekend and I dont need the coffee to stay alive (I'm a very healthy person).

You laugh, but It is unthinkably plebeian to use an odd year, or anything whiter than a blended moscato for hot pockets.
Try me.

Nicotine and caffeine before bed. Why?
>>
>>7307644
>winter
>mulled wine
>Dickens, Tolstoy, or something similarly large
>start at 5pm, go to bed when I can't keep my eyes open (11:30?)

>summer
>hammock all afternoon
>cold pear cider
>Sandman, or maybe short story collections

Only problem is my non-/lit/ bf (I know, I know) gets jealous when I read in the evenings. So I also have

>morning
>cafe
>current book
>big mocha
>cookie
>take teeny bites and sips for as long as possible
>read until butt is sore

I wear earmuffs, the ones that construction workers wear to muffle noise, turn the white noise machine and pour a big russian imperial stout.

I usually have an absolute ripper of a wank, mostly shemale/transexual/crossdressing porn. Then I have a hot steamy shower/bath, get clean as a whistle, then dress into some comfy PJ's and chill on my bed with the book. If it's noisy outside I'll put headphones on playing ASMR videos to keep me in a relaxed state of mind.

I miss Pot Noodles. And Gingster's chicken caeser wraps.
