So I have to read this for my literature class. What am I in for?
I loved Good Morning, Midnight, but I imagine it's quite different to that one. At her best she's brilliant though.

I wrote an essay on the book so I've read it about five or six times.
It's very good.
Pay special attention to how she writes about laughter, imo.
I assume you have read Jane Eyre.. it's pretty short really (WSS), just read it. The final scene is pretty good.. it's a 5/10 maybe.
ITT: people give low scores to a good novel just because they were introduced to it as 'feminist' literature
I thought it was great, and I'm a conservative Catholic white man who believes a woman's place is in the home

I don't even care about the "feminist" aspect of it. It's literally fanfiction and that's trashy as fuck.
