How do you guys cope with the knowledge that you don't even have an iota of the talent or dedication to make a great piece of art.
I never got this feeling with music or film, but something about literature gives me this great anxiety. Fuck you guys.

Regarding the OP, I don't really mind it. I never thought I'd write great prose or poetry, although of course I would like to. But when I read the poetry of actual great men, I just know I probably won't ever reach that level, and instead enjoy their work for its merit.

It's the fact that any literate person who owns a pen could technically do it, unlike music (which needs years of training) or film (which needs specialist equipment and training, and isn't usually done solo).
It's just time I don't have. I work full-time and my only other options seem to be getting an MA in creative writing, or working part-time shit money jobs. The former doesn't appeal to me at all, and the latter seems retarded at a time when publishing is dying and royalties etc are just non-existent.
