What is your daily routine like and how does it incorporate reading and writing? Is your routine working for you?
>>
>>7692381
routines are for slaves
>>
>>7692381
>Get up
>Get kids ready for school
>Bring to school
>get home, drink coffee and shitpost on /lit/
>clean house
>pick kids up from school
>work out for two hours, reading in between sets
>prepare dinner, listen to lectures as I do so
>serve dinner
>Hang with family
>read to kids for 1 hour
>pick up kitchen clean dishes
>shitpost on /lit/ depending on what the wife is up to
>read for 1-2 hours in the bath and bed
>>
>>7692381
>>7692381
during uni
>wake up
>go to uni
>go to the library to read uni things
>get home, nap, fap, shitpost, have coffees #2 & #3
>go out or stay in and shitpost more

During summer/holidays
>wake up
>have a coffee slowly, listen to music, read, shitpost
>if I'm not going out shitpost more and make some decent food

Yeah, I liked it better years back
>>
>>7693269
What kind of lectures, senpai?

The househusband life doesn't sound bad by the way.
>>
>>7693269
Nice life, what's your wife do?
>>
>>7693269
How old are you? Does your wife know/care that you (apparently) spend most of your time shitposting?
>>
Generally it looks like this:

>6:00 AM: Get up
>6:05 AM: Walk dog
>6:07 AM: Feed dog
>6:10 AM: Browse internet/shitpost on 4chan
>7:45 AM: Get showered/dressed/etc
>8:15 AM: Drive into work. Listen to music, think about things I might like to write about.
9:00 AM: At work. Do work, interact with coworkers, meetings, reports, calls, etc.
5:15 PM: Drive home
6:00 PM: Dinner and wine with wife.
6:45 PM: Watch some TV with wife.
8:00 PM: Retire to study to read, write, internet, etc.
10:00 PM: Get ready for bed.
10:15 PM: Asleep.

Sometimes, when I have time, I will write while I'm at work. Usually it's just mediocre poetry, though.

33. As long as the kids are clean and fed and the house isnt trashed my wife understands my isolation and need to find avenues not to off myself. I also have lots of things like dance, gymnastics, music lessons, language lessons to schlep kids around to, and I read then too. I also manage all the finances. Many hats.

poor dog, unless i guess if your wife takes him for a proper walk later

If you want more, there's great shit on archive.org for some reason - for instance a Dreyfus Heidegger course from Berkeley is fully on there in lecture format.

>shower and dress
>coffee
>go to first two classes
>get hamburger and coffee from student cafe, go to library, pick out whatever I'm feelin into that day

She does. My wife works from home, so the dog (a miniature schnauzer) gets plenty of attention and walks. We're on about half an acre, and the dog gets free run of most of it during part of the day too, which she spends happily running about, checking in on our chickens, hunting for gophers and lizards, etc.

5:00am - Wake up
5:10 - get out of bed, shower
5:20 - whatever I have to do to get ready to leave, get dressed, shave, pack lunch, make coffee, get shit together
5:40 - read
6:00ish - head to work
3:00pm-ish - head home from work
3:15 - snack, nap
4:00 - read
5:30ish - dinner
6:00 until bedtime - read and/or work
10:00 - go to bed
11:00 - actually start trying to fall asleep
12:00 or 1:00am - fall asleep
2:00 or 3:00 - wake up, toss and turn
3:00 or 4:00 - fall back asleep

Weekends I don't have much of a routine, just read and do a lot of work, make time to do stuff around the house like laundry, clean, wash the car, usually make things for the dinner that take more time than I have during the week.

It works for me except having to get up so early fucks with me since I don't sleep well.
>>
I just make sure I get two hours of walking and two hours of reading in before noon, the rest is play time.
>>
>>7693399
Forgot to say, I also write a page of prose describing my day as both a journal and a writing exercise and make sure I'm in bed before midnight.
>>
>>7693330

this househusband shit it the most /lit/ lifestyle i've ever heard. kudos.

>7.45 am - hit snooze on my ipad, sleep through my alarm
>9 - dental hygiene; play NPR One while preparing coffee
>9.30 - study for 4 hours
>1.30 - lunch
>2-5 - go to class, group meetings, or the gym
>5-9 - come back home and tear out my hair putting together short stories
>9-11 - decompress with progressively stupider fiction and internet TV
>>
>>7692381
It's easy to get an hour or two of reading in under most circumstances. Writing is trickier though.

what time do you go to bed?
>>
on good days

>wake up
>eat if there's anything to eat
>read
>turn pc on
>try to eat some more
>browse news, youtube, 4chan, listen to music, follow csgo pro scene
>read
>eat
>take shower or something before
>read
>turn pc on again and procrastinate
>sleep

i think i could do this for awhile, but then my nature would eventually find its way out. i would end up divorcing her to have my own meaning instead of being some woman's maid.

>>

It varies some. last night I was up til after 11; usually I fall asleep or at least take a nap before then. (For me that's an additional benefit, since I've long had a tough time sleeping: I enjoy the early hours, and then I go til I drop instead of tossing and turning as much.)
>>
>wake up between 10am and 1pm
>spend two or three hours in bed extending one of the several lengthy daydreams I've been developing involving me and a girl I've only spoken to once four years ago
>read twenty pages of whatever novel I'm reading
>get out of bed
>sit in my bathrobe looking through online tabloid press and a couple of 4chan boards
>shower for 30 minutes
>drink one or two cans of energy drink
>hear mommy arrive home from work
>go down and eat breakfast while she cooks dinner for herself
>go back to my room and allow my food to digest properly by lying almost upside down with my legs on my bed
>drink some coffee and eat potato chips and humus with pita bread
>post on 4chan from around 9pm until around 4am
>rinse and repeat

Go to class once a week on average for lab+in class quiz. I don't attend on other days until there's an exam or it's finals week.

7:00ish - Wake up, get on computer then jot down my dreams. After that, I read chink novels on Wuxiaworld, Translationnations, ect for about 15 minutes
7:20ish - Open up textbook and start doing math problems from where I left off yesterday. Do this for a hour or so.
8:30ish - Do the above but for my physics course.
9:30ish - Make breakfast and eat while reading manga online, then brush my teeth after
10:00 - Go lift weights in my home gym, shower, and drink protein shake
11:15ish - Do Anki reps for Japanese and 1 lesson of Pimsleur
12:00 - Dick around with memory palace training with random number/object generators
12:30ish - Play Touhou to relax
1:00 - Do HW for other classes or put in more work into my core ones. Just basically spare HW time. Sometimes, it's just an hour and others it's way more.
3:00 - Make something to eat or buy some fast food to eat
3:30 - Fuck around and doodle, trying to learn how to draw through a stupid textbook "Drawing through the Right Side of the Brain"
4:30 - Study Japanese again, this time continue adding Kanji to Anki. Do 10-50 a day of RTK; usually lean more to the 10-15 side.
6:00 - Go through "Learn Python the Hard Way" e-book for a bit
6:30 - Dick around on the guitar while going through online lessons
7:00 - 3 hours of free time to make dinner, dick around on the internet, ect.
9:45 - Read about fifteen minutes before I sleep.

The above is what happens on an ideal day where I don't have class, don't get distracted, and HW doesn't take longer than usual. I usually don't have enough time to practice drawing/programming/guitar, so I only do each of those like once a week or so.

This is what happens when you have no friends, hate going outside, and need busywork to keep your mind off life. It's a lonely life... but at least I'll probably get an internship soon-- need to do a couple of those before I graduate.

It's a lonely life, surprised I haven't killed myself yet desu

I can't say i have a routine i just idle around tapping away on this keyboard, eating, sleeping and repeating until somebody asks me to either do something with them or for them. Simply put i have no reason, purpose, meaning or drive and just kind of follow everyone and get moved around as if i were just a piece of driftwood in the open ocean.

Get home after school.
If it's a free day I read or do calligraphy for eight hours and then sleep. If it's the weekend I don't bother getting up from bed, I have a cool little table I can pull up in front of me in bed.
If it's not a free day I do assorted things with people so my mother doesn't badger me about not doing physical activities.

Damn, is life good.
>>
>>7696641
Why do you study if you're not in school? Also the fuck kind of job do you have that you're out for 11 hours every day?

>Get back to building, smoke weed with mates - Read

>Boat to get back to my lonely fucking island, 19.50 - Read

after that i just get home and shitpost, maybe sandwich an hour or two of reading in there. i work construction so i'm pretty tired after work.

Do people here unironically wake up before 9am or are you roleplaying as cuckolds?

You do realize AI is likely to make your job redunant in the next ten years, right?

You do realize that the universal wage will soon make unemployment a valid alternative lifestyle, right?

Man I'm sitting here drinking hot chocolate in my bathrobe, my whole body soft and tender from a long bath, hair combed just the way I'd comb it as a little boy, and I honestly feel humoured by the people in this thread LARPing as "adults". You are literally denying yourself an interesting or worthwhile existence due to peer pressure and / or the brute desire to earn sexual gratification from virtueless women. Is this literally what your life is like? I'm sitting here circling cookies in my hot chocolate and biting the soft mushy half before it drops into my beverage while rotating the tip of my index finger around the smooth and moist inside of foreskin contemplating another day enjoyed with the prospect of another ahead while you people apparently are content (!) with the notion that you will have to wake up tomorrow to relocated pieces of physical matter into different positions for the sake of earning a little more money than I do simply by faking a seizure every couple of months. It's lamentable, it truly is.
