I like Roadside Picnic, which is Russian. I also enjoyed the Witcher series as well, good fantasy, at least the first two collections of short stories. The series kind of goes downhill when it becomes a continuous series.

It's a stylistic copy (most superficial - rational magic system, loads of plot twists and world building with fairly simple prose) but all the content looks like his own work. While Lightbringer might not be a traditional 'copy' of Sanderson, it very much feels and reads like he tried to put himself in a Sanderson mindset and tried to emulate him.
Night Angel and Lightbringer are like night and day quite literally. One is much more gritty and somewhat predictable, the other seems to have as many plot twists as possible and magic is written as a neat, ordered and non overpowered manner as opposed to Ka'kari. NA also seems to be much more traditional in terms of the fantasy, whereas Lightbringer appears to take on a much more modernistic approach.
Seventh Tower didn't really remind me at all of Lightbringer, I think it's much closer to Shades of Grey (Fforde) even if Shades is scifi because of the direct physical properties/attributes of colour and how they influence the way people behave as well as their mood. Not to mention the heavy mythos focus and the focus on colourgenetic INHERITANCErather than a purely earned rank. If you've read Fforde's work they also draw upon the idea of what the person can see as a marker of their place in society and both books unexpectedly touch uponeuthanasiaand the morality ofsocietally sanctified slaughter in a 'utopia'.
I feel that Seventh Tower is also very Nix-ish in that you can see the same mind behind it as the person behind that Sabriel series of books and the Keys to the Kingdom - very structured, each book with exactly the proportioned amount of twists (which aren't too unpredictable), each book leading to the next, a collection with roughly the same amount of quality each concluding in a somewhat predictable finale. The books are also very child orientated as they tend to stay far away from the issues that Fforde and Weeks explore.

I've read The Beast that shouted Love at the Heart of the world last week, which incidentally was the first thing I read on my Kobo, and I want to read The Fifth Head of Cerberus, which it even has a fucking edition in my country but I can't find a digital release, together with other things I couldn't find like The Great God Pan, The King of Elflands Daughter and Teatro Grottesco, another one who has an edition in my language but I couldn't find. You think I'm better off with borrowing the translated ones from a library? I hate missing details that put the story in another light.
Right now I'm reading the physical copy of the Book of the New Sun, the Dying Earth is next.

The best way to improve your english vocabulary is by reading. I'd suggest reading the book you want to read with a dictionary (online or physical, doesn't matter) to check words you don't understand.

verstehen for example has no translation but google translate will say it means empathy. so even translations of weber will be completely meaningless to you as it will translate verstehen and einfuhlung as being synonyms when they mean completely different things.
or reading more complex works, I can read 3 pages and I forget it all but my brain translates it as meaning

This would thematically clash with low fantasy, as they'd be the exact opposites of each other despite one getting its name from the other.
For instance, you'd be saying something like Dune is low sci-fi while the dying earth setting is low fantasy.

It's honestly not that bad. To be clear, it's all written in modern spelling; it's just the sentence structure and archaic words that are Jacobean. If you can read or listen to Shakespeare (which secondary schoolers do) you can definitely read this. You should give it a try for five minutes at least.
